The Japanese Government and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) signed a partnership agreement to support further development of anti-doping programmes in Asia. The signing ceremony at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology (MEXT) involved Minister in Charge of Sport Tenzo Okumura and WADA Director General David Howman, and was followed by a press conference. Since 2008, MEXT has funded the WADA’s Program Development project, one of its priority areas, and will continue funding for the effective development of Regional Anti-Doping Organizations (RADOs) and the enhancement of testing programme and training the local officials.
